Icelandair Klaustur is a modern 3-star hotel located mid-way between Myrdalsjokull and the largest glacier in Europe - Vatnajokull (260 km from Reykjavik city centre). The hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Iceland, a short distance from Skaftafell national park, Vatnajokull and within easy reach of the powerful and mysterious Lakagigar area. The hotel is in the village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur, surrounded by a varied and beautiful natural landscape. The swimming pool at Hotel Klaustur is open all summer and there is a golf course only 5 km from the hotel. The standard rooms are decorated to a high standard and offer all the amenities one would expect, it is furnished in a nice decor with modern colours and rich furnishings. The restaurant seats as many as 150 people so is ideal for both quiet meals and large gatherings.
